Experience

My work experience has mainly been in the service industry and as a flexible asset at an agency. Aside from work I have dabbled in creative areas such as photography, illustration and dance.

Work

Before my university studies I worked as a cashier and assistant in grocery stores and a jewelry shop. At these jobs I learned and utilized communication and service skills, and to take responsibility for my own tasks.

At my current job as a designer for a communications agency I get to do a lot of varied work. Since it’s a small company you help out where you’re needed. This lets me mix web designing and developing with other skills such as writing articles, directing films, create social media content and brainstorm PR campaign ideas. Recently I have also started to test out project management.

Education

I started my education after grade school with a program called Social studies – culture and media, with an orientation in photography and programming.

For my higher education I started at Umeå University with a focus in Human Computer Interaction. After moving to Stockholm I completed my studies with a bachelors degree in computer science, writing my thesis on the topic “How do users handle technical outages on social media?”

During my studies I also participated in university organizations such as a buddy program for exchange students, and Pepp – an organization aimed to inspire teenage girls to pursue an education in tech.
